Why are your organic dog treats gluten-free?
We understand that not all tummies are alike for both animals and humans too. We created our organic dog treats to be a nourishing and pawsitive experience for all dogs especially if they have allergies or don't tolerate gluten. (I know ;) but I had to express the pun!)
Why did you choose coconut flour instead of other flours as a base for your recipe?
Well first we love coconut! It is a multi-tasking, versatile ingredient. Coconut may be used as a baking oil, a gluten-free flour alternative, or as a moisturizer for dogs and their human peoples.
*Here's a quick list of some of the many benefits of using coconut:
*MCT's: AKA Medium Chain Triglycerides (or Medium Chain Fatty Acids) Easy for the body to absorb and may help aid digestion.
*Lauric Acid: Has many benefits including antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral properties.
*Fiber: Ruffly about 1/4 cup of coconut flour contains 4g of Protein, 4g of Fat, 10g of Fiber, and has a low glycemic score of 45 which may help the body have a slow and steady rise of of blood glucose levels. (Yup we loves canine puns!)
Why do you use organic ingredients?
We love this planet of many names: Mother Nature, Gaia, Earth and we trust that the foods originally gifted to us are all for our highest good.
We feel that if there are any kind of potential harmful residues on foods, then those harmful chemicals shouldn't be eaten.
How many treats do I give my dog(s)?
Always check with your veterinarian when adding new foods, treats, or any changes to your dogs' meals and nutrition.
We feel that 1 treat per dog per day for dogs under 30 lbs and 2 treats per dog per day for dogs 30 lbs to 75 lbs is a good estimate.
Our dog Turkey loved when we got home and after wags and hugs we'd take him outside so he could go ya know peepee poopoo . . . and then once back inside our home he happily munched his majical nutritious tasty organic gluten-free dog treats homemade with love!
What is the estimated time of delivery for products?
